Research priorities of the Health Promotion Research Center in 2026

Health promotion research center of Iran University of medical sciences will financially support the following research topics:

• Assessing the resilience of the healthcare system in crisis, disaster, and war conditions, and providing management models for the continuity of health improvement services.
• The application of artificial intelligence in healthcare management decision-making to optimize resource allocation in prevention and health promotion programs.
• Digital Smart Health Interventions (apps, messaging, AI) for improving lifestyle.
• Analysis of national health policies (NCD, aging, mental health, women's health) and providing policy solutions for better implementation.
• Assessment of the impacts of new health policies on health promotion and equity (e.g., family medicine, referral system, electronic health records).
• Health Equity and Social Inequalities; analyzing trends, disease burden, and effective policies to reduce disparities.
• Data Governance and AI in healthcare for evidence-based decision-making.
• Designing and evaluation of health literacy interventions tailored for health-illiterate groups: the elderly, chronic patients, and underserved areas.
• Digital and Media Health Literacy and its role in preventing misinformation.
