Health Promotion Research Center Signs Memorandum of Understanding with the Secretariat of the Supreme Council of Health Insurance
The Health Promotion Research Center has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Secretariat of the Supreme Council of Health Insurance to strengthen scientific and research collaboration and foster evidence-informed policymaking in the health insurance sector.
The agreement aims to expand applied research, support evidence-based decision-making, and enhance health insurance policy development through joint scientific initiatives. Under the MoU, the two parties will collaborate on designing and implementing joint research projects, organizing scientific courses and academic events, promoting knowledge translation, providing specialized scientific consultation, supervising graduate research, exchanging research data and expertise, and conducting studies related to health economic evaluation and basic health insurance benefit packages.
This partnership represents an important step toward advancing problem-oriented research, strengthening collaboration between academia and the national health policy system, and leveraging the scientific capacity of the Health Promotion Research Center to address priority challenges in Iran’s health insurance system. The agreement will remain in effect for five years, during which the two organizations will implement a range of joint scientific and research activities.
